***Deeply loved, greatly blessed, highly favoured...

3:35pm : I can't wait til' class is over, and thus the start of my weekend - most importantly cell group. Wahahaha can't wait...

Met Jing Jie at the bus stop before we went to Janis' house to prepare refreshments. Wahaha, sorry, amendments to my last entry: Jing Jie wasn't nervous at all (so he claims), my mistake anyway. Then went to buy bread n tuna n tomatoes to make sandwiches. All went quite well but we didn't know what lettuce looked like. :P Haha luckily got label.

Then tiffany called and asked us to buy sugar. But too late d the only store was at the MRT station and luckily the nice store aunty willingly sold us sugar loose, for 50 cents only sumore. :) Thank God.

Reached Janis' house n started preparing stuff. Hehe, me Tiffany n Jesse made jelly and fried nuggets while Janis was busy making sausages n stressing herself out in the kitchen. Not bad lar we gals quite effecient actually. Quite fun oso though we were rushing and panicking haha:) Jing Jie did the sandwiches on his own. Haha, really. Fed Janis' rabbits the leftover lettuce.

Then with WeiXian n Yi Hui as well we went over to Hui Zhen's (CG leader) house. Cell group was great la! 3 new friends. :) All from Wee Yang's class. Haha, never knew Wee Yang so capable ar. 3 gals. ;) One of them, Cindy, from Malaysia sumore.

Lester's testimony was...walau. Tremendous lar. Oscar-deserving speech. Really. How great is our God who transforms the shatters of our broken lives and restores the ultimate joy in life! The Sacred Delight of the Lord that can never be taken away by any circumstance... :)

During Hui Zhen's sharing there was one thing that really hit me - never be afraid to dream big. God never meant for us to dream small. I dream of revival in AJ, though we start small, we should never dream small. It reminded me of my home church RLC :) Pastor Joshua always said... For the poorest are not those without money, but those without dreams.

Anyway after CG i decided to take the cab back at 1030 so i could stay a little longer for fellowship. Then my grandauntie called. Aunty Dolly. Hehe. Don't think i've met her before. But i'm meeting her and my granduncle and some of the cousins i've never met before this Sunday! :) Wow.

Well, took a cab back with Jie Han n Aaron a.k.a. Harry and reached back the hostel in time. :)

I'm listening to Michael Buble's song - Home right now.

"Another day has gone away in Paris n Rome,
I'm lucky i know, but I wanna go home..."

I still miss home. There's no place like it no matter what.

but...

I thank God for roomies - Kwang Ying n Manpreet n Kailin who remind me of family.

I miss SS2 cell group back home too. :) Yeah you guys, E.T., meiyii, huiyii, tian an, kee wai, krys, ivan, pei wen n everyone ahh....

but...

I thank God for E314, the beloved cell group that has made me feel at home in this crazy place. :)

***Jalur Gemilang, kita semua bersatu, Jalur Gemilang lalalalala...

Wahaha... the only songs that are in my head now are patriotic songs. Malaysian patriotic songs. Thanks to Kwang Ying lar... haha, she n her NS ideologies...

Cell group's on tomorrow. Gonna be lotsa fun, i hope. :P

Anyway i tried to get shi min to come to cell group tomorrow but well...i failed. :P Shi min WHY WHY WHY??? Haha, nevermind i'm patient. One day you will come, one day... Hehe.

I just realised today how well i actually know my relatives. My dad's been bugging me to call my granduncle in Singapore to wish him a happy birthday since i can't be there to celebrate with him this Saturday. So i called and i said, "Hello kau gong! I heard it's your birthday this Saturday..." Before i could finish, he said, "No, it's not my birthday this Saturday". Oops.

Haha apparently i got the wrong granduncle. Ahhh so malu. :P

***The First Step.

Forgot to blog bout yesterday. Oops.

It was raining in the morning and i really really didn't wanna get out of bed. I had an MC for that day sumore. But i chose to go to school. :)

Jing Jie and I had practised a little yesterday for today's praise and worship. I invited Billy and Darren to the session this morning. Jing Jie invited Jia Le and his classmate too.

Haha, we were clueless. Dunno what to do. But i guess the prayers worked. Submit everything to the Lord and He will guide you. It started fairly well, with prayer and all. Then Jing Jie started struming the guitar, yeah and you could feel he was nervous haha. But we continued to pray for God's presence to come. Though it was a little awkward (coz there were no song sheets), slowly but surely, it came. But the bell rang too soon. Argh.

Ah well. God has given us visions bout revival in AJ. But we all have to start somewhere... It's a beginning, and not a bad one. :)

***broadband- Wheeee....

Yo people!!! I'm back n' bloggin'!! Wahaha... broadband in my room now... so happy :D

Anyway...wow, i really don't know where to start, just so much has happened. Been busy busy busy lately...I'm still 5 months behind in my schoolwork and i'm struggling everyday just to finish my homework. Oh gosh. Promo's are in 2 months time please pray for me people. haha. :-/

I'm really thankful for my roomies. :) Kwang Ying from Johore, Manpreet from Ipoh and Kailin from Klang. They've made Singapore bearable for me. Haha.

Kwang Ying's an overly-patriotic, brainwashed NS participant, quiet at times, but watch out! Manpreet the hot, banghra-dancing, nonsensical hockey player and Kailin the final fantasy gaming freak who loves all food. What a lovely combination. :)

We had a door decorating contest a few weeks before and we totally left out the eco-friendly criteria when we went to buy our materials. Oops. Spent lotsa time on the door thingy (though it was very last minute) and in the end we got 3rd. Out of 4. Haha. Sad and pathetic. I know. :P But it doesn't matter lar. We had fun, didn't we, kichimayom?

Oh yeah, City Harvest Church has made Singapore much more bearable for me as well. :) It's something i look forward to every week. :) Cell group on friday nights and church services on saturday mornings. Though it takes me 1n a half hours to get to and back from those venues, and rush back to meet the hostel's curfew, it's SO worth it.

Hmmm... anyway that's all i have to blog about for now. :P Toodle-loo!

***The Shoe Gobbler

Nothing much today.

Chareli, my cluster captain, stole my slippers while i was bathing today!!! Terrible. I forgave her for her despicable act though. :) After i forced a confession out of her. ;) Hehe.

Cut my thumb while i was handling scissors. My right thumb! And i had homework to finish sumore. :( Sigh. I'm missing a whole lot of fun back home at the A Levels Annual Ball. Darn.

But all's good. Expecting good things to happen soon... :) God has promised it.

**Church day...

Went to New Creation Church with the usual Chris, Billy and Darren again this morning. June Teng came along, she's joining the church too! :)

Went to City Harvest Church after that. hMM. Lazy to describe lar. But in a nutshell, it's real good! THE energy... the passion... the commitment, God's presence... everything. Wow. Thanks Jing Jie for bringing me there. :) Nice people at cell too. Funny people. Hehe.

**Roomies... Family... :D

Went out with my roommates, Manpreet and Kailin today. :)

Manpreet brought us to Little India, it's sort of the Indian version of Chinatown, which coincidentally is only 2 MRT stops away. Went to this restaurant to eat. Had Butter Naan with Tandoori Chicken. The lunch cost me $16! I shared it with Kaillin sumore. But it was good nonetheless. :) Oh and after that we were officially family, because the restaurant we went to, was a family restaurant. :) Hehe. Roomies = Family.

After that we went to Orchard, and made it just in time for War of the Worlds. sO ... exciting. :P Definitely worth watching. (Especially the part where the alien stuck a thing into the human and sucked the blood out from him. ERgh. Just like straws.)

***Haven’t blogged in a while…

Nothing’s free in this world really. The wireless connection that I could detect in my room that day has now become a secured connection. Network key required. Sigh.

Anyway, it’s Saturday night and I’m in the common room right now while everyone else is out. Haha, but it’s not that bad lar. Like they say, the hostel is “home away from home”…

Well summary of the week

Monday: Went for General Paper (GP) Test in the afternoon. Rather not talk bout the paper haha. =P Ooh 4 girls from our hostel got the JPA scholarship after appealing! They’re all leaving! You could tell everyone was in quite a bad mood. Jealous lar. Haha. They have “a freaking ticket out of HELL!!!”

Tuesday: Went for Chem Lab session this morning. Ahh!! The burets they use are clip burets. Hurt my fingers when I tried to press them together with my two fingers. =( People say u just have to get used to it. After that went to Suntech to buy a laundry basket. I carried the big metal frame basket thingy to the bus stop and waited for the bus. I waited for the bus for 40 minutes! Then only realized the first bus comes at 1930 hours =P Felt so stupid lar.

Wednesday: No school today! Haha. Saw pei ying off today. Pei Ying, Wan Ying, Ru Xing and Arwin are all going off with their new JPA scholarships… leaving us all behind. Study time at night, we spent talking. Hehe, me n my roomies. =) Manpreet, Kailin, Kwang Ying n me we were talking bout everything under the sun. We talked the whole study time through =P Man I thank God for roommates.

Thursday: Went to school for the 2nd chem lab session. Then went out at night with ren xin and sue wen while the other further math students were still studying for the exams. =P We went to get cheesecake! =) Then went to Marche to eat sumore. Haha. Talked bout hot guys. Which are very rare in Singapore. Really.

Friday: No school! =) Went out at noon with ren xin. Went to novena to eat cheesecake. AHH! We kena con lar. $2.90 for cheesecake is just too good to be true. Turns out the strawberry cheesecake is just sponge cake with strawberry cream. =( Saddening lar.

Then I walked around a bit, killed time till it was 2.30pm. Left for Dover station. Reached there half n hour earlier than me n Shi Min, my project work group leader, had agreed to meet. She had to wait for her friend, Joyce, who was late. Haha. Damn funny lar those 2 together. You simply cannot stop laughing round them. I got stomach muscle cramps from laughing too hard! Anyway, we traveled all the way to Ngee Ann Polytechnic, nearly lost our way in the campus itself, but finally, we found the lecturer we were supposed to interview. =P Not enough questions to ask but smart us, we came out with so many spontaneous questions in the end ;) Turned out alright.

Jia Le came to join us. Then we all went to see Jian Wei, another classmate, who has just had his foot operation.

Of course we got lost again lar. Took the lift so many times before we found the place. So many classmates there. First time I see someone so happy staying in the hospital. But he was okay I guess. =) We were told off quite a few times to shut up. Making too much noise. Haha.

Then I had to rush to church. Chris, Billy, Darren (hostel mates) had booked a seat for me. The sharing was good. =)

Met more hostel mates on the way back. All my 6th floor friends hehe =) Luckily lar. We were ALL late for our floor event.

There were lots of food from different countries on different tables. Philipines, Thailand, Laos etc. Hehe. We were munching on our muruku’s till our AHM, Gan Ann said, “Eh you Malaysians, stop eating your own food!” Haha. But it’s true lar, Malaysian’s table the best. =)
